AN ORDINANCE authorizing the executive to execute and take actions necessary to implement a new lease for the department of public health to provide continuing dental health services in King County.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. The facilities management division received notification the current lease for the North Dental Clinic would expire on December 31, 2014.
2. The department of public health continues to need space for the purpose of providing a dental clinic in north King County.
3. The facilities management division determined on May 30, 2014, that there was not an appropriate county-owned option.
4. The facilities management division determined, through consultation with the department of public health, that negotiating a new lease at the current location was the most cost-effective option for the county.
5. The facilities management division successfully negotiated a new lease of space from Capo North, LLC, located at 12359 Lake City Way NE, Seattle, within council district one.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Contingent upon the executive and Capo North, LLC, executing a lease amendment in substantially the same form as Attachment B to this ordinance, the executive is authorized to execute a lease for the property located at 12359 Lake City Way NE with Capo North, LLC, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the lease.
