AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to execute an interlocal agreement with King County Flood Control Zone District.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  Since January 1, 2008, King County has provided a full range of services to and for the King County Flood Control Zone District under interlocal agreements between the district and King County.

2.  The district desires to have King County continue to perform those services.

3.  The current interlocal agreement between the district and King County is set to expire on December 31, 2021.

4.  The district desires to execute a new interlocal agreement with King County and to authorize King County to provide flood protection services through January 1, 2027, with an option to extend for an additional two years.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to execute an

interlocal agreement, substantial in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, with the King County Flood Control Zone District for the provision of services.
