Title

A MOTION appointing members to the King County E-911 strategic plan scoping committee.

Body

                     WHEREAS, Ordinance 18139 established the King County E-911 strategic plan scoping committee, consisting of a leadership group and a project coordination team, and

                     WHEREAS, the committee's purpose is to recommend a strategic planning process report as specified in Ordinance 18139 by May 31, 2016, and

                     WHEREAS, Ordinance 18139 called for recommendations from certain entities of persons to serve as members of the leadership group or the project coordination team, with the council appointing such members by motion, and

                     WHEREAS, except for the city of Seattle, which advised the council that it would make its recommendations for its two councilmembers to serve as members of the leadership group in 2016, the council received the recommendations from the specified entities for the committee, and

                     WHEREAS, Motion 14488, passed December 14, 2015, appointed members to the King County E-911 strategic plan scoping committee from the recommendations the council had received, and

                     WHEREAS, Motion 14488 acknowledges that the city of Seattle would be making its recommendations for its two leadership group members in 2016, and

                     WHEREAS, on January 6, 2016, the council received Resolution No. 31645 adopted January 5, 2016, by which the city of Seattle made its recommendations;

                     NOW THEREFORE BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The Honorable Lorena González and the Honorable Bruce Harrell, recommended by the city of Seattle, are appointed as members of the leadership group of the E-911 strategic plan scoping committee.
