Title

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to enter into a license agreement with the Washington state Department of Transportation, Ferries Division, as owner of the Vashon Island Ferry Terminal located at 10800 North Vashon Highway, Vashon, Washington, in council district eight.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The Metro transit department, marine division, plans to continue to operate the King County passenger-only water taxi service from the current facility at the Vashon Island Ferry Terminal.

2.  The Metro transit department has successfully negotiated a license for the passenger-only ferry landing with the Washington state Department of Transportation, Ferries Division.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to execute a license for the passenger-only ferry landing located at 10800 North Vashon Highway, Vashon, with the Washington state Department of Transportation, Ferries Division, substantially in the

form of Attachment A to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the license.
