AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the Port of Seattle for the King County road services division to provide bridge maintenance services on an as-requested basis.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The Port of Seattle owns public roads and traffic devices that require maintenance and/or other improvements.
2.  The Port of Seattle requests that the King County road services division provide bridge maintenance services on an as-requested basis.
3.  King County road services division is willing and able to perform such services for the Port of Seattle.
4.  The parties can achieve cost savings and benefits that are in the public's interest by having King County road services division provide such services that the Port of Seattle requests, at the Port of Seattle's expense.
5.  Chapter 39.34 RCW authorizes the counties to enter into an interlocal cooperation agreement such as Attachment A to this ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is hereby authorized to execute an interlocal agreement with the Port of Seattle, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, to provide bridge maintenance services on an as requested basis.
