AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to execute an amended interlocal cooperative agreement between King County and the cities of Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Redmond and the Washington State Patrol for participation in the Eastside Narcotics Task Force.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The cities of the cities of Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Redmond and the Washington State Patrol desire to maintain a multijurisdictional, narcotics task force.
2.  The county has the resources and expertise to make valuable contributions to the Eastside Narcotics Task Force.
3.  Participation in the agreement is to the benefit of the citizens of King County.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is authorized to execute agreements, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, with the cities of Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Redmond and the Washington State Patrol for participation in the
Eastside Narcotics Task Force.
