Title
AN ORDINANCE relating to the King County flood control zone district advisory committee; making technical corrections; and repealing Ordinance 15728, Section 7, and K.C.C. 2.110.030 and Ordinance 15728, Section 10, and K.C.C. 2.110.040.
Body
STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  In May 2007 by Ordinance 15728, the King County council created the King County Flood Control Zone District ("the district") to address flood control needs throughout King County.
2.  Ordinance 15728, Sections 7 and 10, created an advisory committee to provide expert policy advice to the board of supervisors of the district.  The advisory committee is comprised of fifteen members, including elected officials from throughout King County, including the county executive.  The members of the advisory committee were appointed by the executive and confirmed by the council.
3.  The district now desires to create an advisory committee and appoint the members of the advisory committee directly.
4.  The district adopted rules governing its operations, so Ordinance 15728, Section 26, providing for interim rules for the district, is no longer relevant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  Ordinance 15728, Section 6, and K.C.C. 2.110.025, Ordinance 15728, Section 7, and K.C.C. 2.110.030 and Ordinance 15728, Section 10, and K.C.C. 2.110.040 are each hereby repealed.
