Title

A MOTION acknowledging receipt of the first of two reports on the strategic planning process for the future of secure juvenile detention in King County, in accordance with Ordinance 19546, Section 106, Proviso P1.

Body

                     WHEREAS, the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19546, Section 106, Proviso P1 requires the executive to transmit two progress reports on the strategic planning process for the future of secure juvenile detention at the children and family justice center, and

                     WHEREAS, the first of those two reports, entitled Care and Closure: Progress Report on the Strategic Planning Process for the Future of Secure Juvenile Detention, is submitted by the executive;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The council acknowledges receipt of the first of two progress reports on the strategic planning project for the future of secure juvenile detention at the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center, entitled Care and Closure: Progress Report on the Strategic Planning Process for the Future of Secure Juvenile Detention,
