Title
A MOTION setting the county's priorities for the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget.
Body
WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 410 of the King County Charter, at least ninety-five days prior to the end of each fiscal year, the executive is required to present to the council a budget proposal every fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 420 of the King County Charter, at least one hundred fifty-five days prior to the end of the fiscal year, all county agencies are required to submit to the executive information necessary to prepare the budget, and
WHEREAS, from March 2022 through September 2022 the executive will develop the 2023-2024 biennial budget proposal based on proposals from county agencies, and
WHEREAS, the budget and fiscal management committee have discussed priorities for the 2023-2024 biennial budget at their March and April meetings;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The county's priorities for the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget, in Attachment A to this motion, are hereby adopted.
