AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to enter into a contract between King County and the Kent school district for school resource officer services.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The Kent school district desires to provide school resource officer services during the 2009-2010 through the 2013-2014 school years at one unincorporated-area school, Kentlake High School.
2.  The county has the ability to provide those policing and law enforcement services.
3.  Participation in this agreement is to the benefit of the citizens of King County.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is authorized to execute an agreement,
 
substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, with the Kent school district to provide school resource officer services.
