A MOTION requesting the manager of the elections division to conduct by mail the February 3, 2008, special election on the question of creation of the Fall City metropolitan park district and election of its commissioners, and on the election of the county director of elections.
Body
WHEREAS, the elections division has been planning for a vote-by-mail election for the February 3, 2009, special election, and
WHEREAS, a request by the council is necessary to authorize the February 3, 2009, special election to be conducted by mail;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The manager of the elections division is requested, in accordance with RCW 29A.48.020, to conduct by mail the February 3, 2009, special election for:
A. The proposed district's ballot measures to create the Fall City metropolitan park district and elect a five-member board of commissioners, which is placed on the ballot in
accordance with Ordinance 16282; and
B. The King County director of elections.
