AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to execute a third amendment to the interlocal agreement between King County and the city of Bellevue for marine patrol services.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The city of Bellevue desires the King County sheriff's office to provide marine patrol services in waters under jurisdiction of the city in 2008.  Marine patrol services were provided on a routine basis from May 1, 2008, through September 1, 2008.  Before and after that time, non-routine services will be available to the city on a call-out basis.
2.  The county has the ability to provide those marine policing and law enforcement services.
3.  Participation in the agreement is to the benefit of the citizens of King County.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, with the city of Bellevue to provide marine law enforcement and policing services.
