Title
AN ORDINANCE relating to the director of elections's compensation.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Director of elections's compensation. As of February 4, 2009, and annually thereafter, beginning January 1, 2010, the elected office of the director of elections shall be compensated at an annual rate of 78.5 percent of the authorized annual compensation of the King County executive as it may be adjusted from time to time.
SECTION 2. This ordinance takes effect only if the proposed charter amendment
to make the county director of elections a nonpartisan elected office is approved by a majority of voters at the November 4, 2008, election.
