AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to amend a contract between King County and Sound Transit for emphasis policing patrols to increase allotted funds.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  Sound Transit desires to extend emphasis policing patrols between January 1, 2008, through December 31, 2008, at the Sound Transit facility in Kent, Washington, which is the Kent Transit Station, and at facilities in Auburn and Tukwila, Washington.
2.  The county currently provides those policing and law enforcement services.
3.  Participation in this agreement is to the benefit of the citizens of King County by increasing allotted monetary cap of the contract by $105,000 to a total of $195,000.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, with Sound Transit to provide law enforcement and policing services.
