Title
AN ORDINANCE making a supplemental appropriation of $692,000 to the solid waste construction improvement fund to provide for the replacement of the roof at the Skykomish drop box; and amending the 2008 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 15975, Section 135, and Attachment G, as amended.

      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  Findings:
      A.  As a result of heavy winter snowfall in January and February 2008, the county executive declared that a state of emergency existed in the mountain regions of western Washington and King County.
      B.  The heavy winter snowfall resulted in the collapse of the roof of the Skykomish drop box facility.  This facility is necessary for the collection of solid waste in the Skykomish area for eventual transport to Cedar Hills regional landfill.
      SECTION 2.  Ordinance 15975, Section 135, is hereby amended by adding thereto and inserting therein the following:
      From the solid waste capital improvement project fund there is hereby appropriated and authorized to be disbursed the following amount for the specific project identified in Attachment A to this ordinance.

      SECTION 3.  Attachment A to this ordinance hereby amends Attachment G to Ordinance 15975, by adding thereto and inserting therein the projects listed in Attachment A to this ordinance.
