title
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to enter into a lease for the relocation of the work training program.
body
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  Findings:
      A.  In accordance with K.C.C. 4.04.040, the King County council may adopt an ordinance permitting the county to enter into contracts requiring the payment of funds from the appropriation of subsequent fiscal years.
      B.  A new lease is necessitated by the relocation of the work training program from the current location in Renton, which the county will then lease/purchase for the elections section.  The metropolitan King County council authorized the lease/purchase option for the elections facility on March 12, 2007, via Ordinance 15702.
      C.  The term of the lease will be for ten years, commencing on June 1, 2007, and continuing to May 31, 2017.
      D.  The landlord will provide turnkey tenant improvements and capital improvements for the space.
SECTION 2.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to enter into a lease, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, for the relocation of the work training program.
