A MOTION approving the revised financial plan for the veterans and family services levy fund, as requested in the 2007 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 15652, Section 68 and for the health and human services levy fund, as requested by Ordinance 15652, Section 69.

      WHEREAS, King County voters approved the veterans and human services levy in November 2005 with a 57.92 percent favorable vote countywide, and
      WHEREAS, with its passage, the levy is expected to generate about 13.3 million dollars annually for six years, and
      WHEREAS, the service improvement plan, developed and approved by the King County council during 2006, addresses the key policy elements and issues facing veterans and their families and others in need, and
      WHEREAS, it is the intent of the council that the veterans and family services levy fund and the health and human services levy fund shall develop target fund balances that are sufficient to meet cash flow and levy transition needs;
      NOW, THEREFORE BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The proposed financial plans of the veterans and family services levy fund and the health and human levy services fund, Attachments A and B to this motion, are hereby approved.
