STATEMENT OF FACTS
1. The King County council, on November 22, 2004, by Ordinance 15083 adopted the annual budget and program and provided therein for a transportation program in 2005 that included a project to expand and improve the transit passenger loading and bus layover facilities adjacent to the existing Redmond park and ride. The project is called the Redmond Transit Center located at 8178 - 161st Ave NE, Redmond, Washington, under appropriation A00574 in the Passenger Facilities Program of the Public Transportation Fund Capital budget. The Redmond Transit Center project will expand the passenger loading capacity from three buses to six and relocate bus layover from on-street facilities to a less circuitous off-street facility. The project is consistent with area transit service plans and is supported by the city of Redmond.
2. The King County council, on November 21, 2005, by Ordinance 15333 adopted the annual budget and program and provided therein for a transportation program in 2006 that included a small increase in funding for the Redmond Transit Center project.
3. The capital budget and program identified the Redmond Transit Center project would be funded by a combination of Federal grants and local match funds to be provided to King County by the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority. No King County local funds are programmed to fund the project.
