AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to enter into an interlocal agreement with cities of King County and King County to provide law enforcement mutual aid and mobilization.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The Interlocal Cooperation Act, chapter 39.34 RCW, allows for interlocal mutual aid agreements.
2.  On occasion, the demand for law enforcement services within a jurisdiction may exceed that department's ability to respond in a timely manner.
3.  Participation in this agreement is to the mutual benefit of the citizens of King County.
4.  The county is able and willing to provide the requested law enforcement services.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, with cities of King County and King County to provide law enforcement mutual aid and mobilization.
