A MOTION acknowledging receipt of a report on the department of adult and juvenile detention’s use of electronic home monitoring as an alternative to secure detention in compliance with the 2021-2022 Biennial Budget Ordinance 19210, Section 50, Proviso P2.

WHEREAS, the 2021-2022 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19210, Section 50, Proviso P2, requires the executive to transmit a report on the department of adult and juvenile detention’s use of electronic home monitoring as an alternative to secure detention, and a motion acknowledging receipt of the report, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 19210, Section 50, Proviso P2, provides that $100,000 shall not be expended or encumbered until the motion acknowledging receipt of the report is passed, and
WHEREAS, the council has reviewed the report submitted by the executive;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The motion acknowledging receipt of the report on the department of adult and juvenile detention’s use of electronic home monitoring as an alternative to secure detention, which is Attachment A to this motion, is hereby acknowledged in accordance
with the 2021-2022 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19210, Section 50, Proviso P2.
