A MOTION authorizing the Chair to enter into an amendment to the contract for accounting services.

WHEREAS, by Executive Committee Motion FCDECM2020-04, the King County Flood Control District ("the District") authorized the 2020 amendment to the contract for accounting services with Francis & Company PLLC ("the Accountant"), and
WHEREAS, by Resolutions FCD2019-16 and FCD2019-17, the District authorized the direct employment of the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director by the District, and authorized the Chair and Vice Chair to execute any contracts within the Executive Committee's delegated spending authority on behalf of the District that are necessary to implement the direct employment of both positions, and
WHEREAS, the District directed the Accountant to perform the tasks necessary to implement the direct employment of the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, and the District desires to ratify these actions, and
WHEREAS, the District has determined it is in the best interest of the District to approve an amendment to the current contract for accounting services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. The Chair of the King County Flood Control Zone District is
authorized to enter into the 2021 Amendment to Contract for Accounting Services, Attachment A to this motion.
