Title

AN ORDINANCE establishing the health through housing fund; and adding a new section to K.C.C. chapter 4A.200.

Body

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     NEW SECTION. SECTION 1.  There is hereby added to K.C.C. chapter 4A.200 a new section to read as follows:

                     A.  There is hereby created the health through housing fund.

                     B.  The fund shall be a first tier fund.  It is a special revenue fund.

                     C.  The director of the department of community and human services shall be the manager of the fund.

                     D.  The fund shall account for the proceeds of an additional one-tenth of one percent sales tax imposed by the county as authorized in RCW 82.14.530.

                     E.  Proceeds of the sales tax shall be used to fund affordable housing, housing-related services, the operations and maintenance costs of affordable housing and facilities where housing-related programs are provided, behavioral health-related facilities, newly

constructed evaluation and treatment centers, and the operation, delivery or evaluation of  behavioral health treatment programs and services, in accordance with RCW 82.14.530.
