A MOTION acknowledging receipt of a report regarding compensation for members of boards, commissions, committees and task forces, in compliance with the 2019-2020 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 18835, Section 19, as amended by Ordinance 19021, Section 3, Proviso P8.

WHEREAS, the 2019-2020 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 18835, Section 19, as amended by Ordinance 19201, Section 3, Proviso P8, requires the executive to transmit a motion and report regarding compensation for members of boards, commissions, committees and task forces in King County, and
WHEREAS, the attached report was produced by the by the office of performance, strategy and budget, and
WHEREAS, the attached report includes two or more options for compensating individuals who serve on ongoing boards, commissions, and committees as well as ad hoc task forces and other groups as appropriate, the estimated biennial cost of each option by fund, administrative barriers to implementation and a list of all current boards, commissions, committees, and ad hoc groups, including the number of member positions on each, how each is staged, what fund supports staff for each, and any related costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The receipt of a report on compensation for members of boards, commissions, committees and task forces relating in King County in compliance with the 2019-2020 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 18835, Section 19, as amended by Ordinance
19021, Section 3, Proviso P8, which is Attachment A to this motion, is hereby acknowledged.
