Title

AN ORDINANCE relating to the sale of the surplus property located at 19645 SE Petrovitsky Road, Renton, Washington, in council district nine.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The parks and recreation division declared the property located at 19645 SE Petrovitsky Road, Renton, Washington, located within council district nine, surplus to its needs on May 11, 2016.

2.  The facilities management division offered the property to other county agencies on May 19, 2016, and received no interest.

3.  The facilities management division found the property unsuitable for affordable housing on July 26, 2016.

4.  The facilities management division declared the property surplus to the current and future foreseeable needs of the county on August 16, 2016.

5.  The property was marketed through the required public notice in the Seattle Times in accordance with K.C.C. 4.56.090, and via open houses, online real estate listing tools, and the King County real estate services website.

7.  The county conducted a sealed bid sale in accordance with K.C.C. 4.56.100, received one bid and accepted a purchase price of $370,000 on December 19, 2016.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to convey the 19645 SE Petrovitsky Road surplus property to Frank and Carol A. Cepeda consistent with a purchase and sale agreement substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the purchase and sale agreement.
