AN ORDINANCE authorizing the execution of a new lease to support the operation of the department of public health.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. The facilities management division received a request for space in January 2016, from the department of public health.
2. The department of public health needed space for the purpose of clinic services.
3. The facilities management division determined on March 21, 2016, that there was not an appropriate county-owned option.
4. The facilities management division determined, through consultation with the department, that leasing was the most cost-effective option for the county.
5. The facilities management division successfully negotiated to lease space from Apex Investment Group, LLP, located at 13030 121st Way Northeast, Kirkland, within council district six.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The executive is authorized to execute a lease for the property located at 13030 121st Way Northeast with Apex Investment Group, LLP, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the lease.
