A MOTION reappointing Paul Holland, who resides in council district two, to the King County public defense advisory board, representing a nonpartisan organization active in King County that focuses on mental health issues.

Body

                     WHEREAS, Paul Holland was appointed by the county executive to an initial two-year term on the King County public defense advisory board, representing a nonpartisan organization active in King County that focuses on mental health issues, namely, Plymouth Housing Group, and his appointment was confirmed by the county council on July 14, 2014, by Motion 14179, and

                     WHEREAS, K.C.C. 2.60.031.E. provides in part that the county council may reappoint board members for additional three-year terms, and

                     WHEREAS, Plymouth Housing Group has expressed its support for Paul Holland to continue to represent it on the public defense advisory board and for the county council to reappoint him to a full three-year term expiring on June 30, 2019, and Paul Holland has expressed his willingness to serve an additional, three-year term on the board;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     Paul Holland is hereby reappointed to the King County public defense advisory board, representing Plymouth Housing Group as a nonpartisan organization active in King County that focuses on mental health issues, to a three-year term to expire on June 30, 2019.
