Title
A MOTION reappointing Thomas Hillier to the King County public defense advisory board, representing the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Body
WHEREAS, Thomas Hillier was appointed by the county executive to an initial one-year term on the King County public defense advisory board, representing the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and his appointment was confirmed by the county council on July 14, 2014, by Motion 14174, and
WHEREAS, K.C.C. 2.60.031.E. provides in part that the county council may reappoint board members for additional three-year terms, and
WHEREAS, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers has expressed its support for Thomas Hillier to continue to represent the association on the public defense advisory board and for the county council to reappoint him to a full three-year term, and Thomas Hillier has expressed his willingness to serve an additional, three-year term on the board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
Thomas Hillier is hereby reappointed to the King County public defense advisory
board, representing the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, to a three-year term to expire on June 30, 2018.
