A MOTION accepting the annual progress report on the implementation of the King County veterans and human services levy service improvement plan, as required by Ordinance 17200.

      WHEREAS, the voters of King County approved a ballot measure in August 2011 renewing authorization for King County to levy a property tax to fund capital facilities and services that reduce medical costs, homelessness, and criminal justice system involvement with half of proceeds supporting veterans and their families, and
      WHEREAS, Ordinance 17236 adopted the service improvement plan guiding the management and expenditure of the proceeds from the renewed veterans and human services levy and required the development of annual reports on the implementation of the service improvement plan, and
      WHEREAS, Ordinance 17200 directs that, by June 30, 2012, and each year thereafter through 2017, the King County executive shall submit to the council for review and acceptance by motion an annual progress report on the previous calendar year on the King County veterans and human services levy;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the council of King County:
      The King County council accepts the 2014 annual report on the implementation of the King County veterans and human services levy service improvement plan.
