A MOTION approving a report related to the Ravensdale park project status submitted in accordance with the 2015/2016 Biennial Budget Ordinance 17941, Section 129, Proviso P7.

WHEREAS, the 2015/2016 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 17941, contained a proviso in Section 129, which stated that three hundred thousand dollars could not be encumbered or expended until the executive transmitted a Ravensdale project status report and a motion that approves the report and the motion was passed by the council, and
WHEREAS, the parks and recreation division of the department of natural resources and parks, with participation of the Ravensdale Park Foundation, reviewed issues identified in the expansion of the project, and
WHEREAS, based on that review, the parks and recreation division developed a status report addressing the expansion of the project scope and requirements of Ordinance 17941, and
WHEREAS, the review and analysis resulted in a mutually agreed-upon solution between Ravensdale Park Foundation and the parks and recreation division to amend the use agreement and address the funding balance with a combination of fee grace periods, community fundraising and additional funding from the division, and
WHEREAS, the executive has transmitted to the council the requested report and motion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The report on Ravensdale project status, which is submitted as Attachment A to this motion in accordance with Ordinance 17941, Section 129, Proviso P7, is hereby approved.
