Title
A MOTION relating to the task force on youth and confirming the executive's appointment of its members as called for by Ordinance 17738.
Body
WHEREAS, the King County Council adopted Ordinance 17738 on January 21, 2014, creating a task force for the purpose of developing a proposed youth action plan to be submitted to the executive and council, and
WHEREAS, each member of the task force shall have substantial experience and expertise relevant to children and youth matters and shall have an ability and willingness to attend meetings and participate effectively as a member of the task force, and
WHEREAS, the work of the task force is defined in Ordinance 17738, is time limited and is to be completed by April 30, 2015;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
A. There is hereby convened the youth action plan task force.
B. The youth action plan is due to executive and council by April 15, 2015.
C. The county executive's appointment of the members of the task force identified in Attachment A to this motion is hereby confirmed.
