STATEMENT OF THE FACTS
1.  The city of Snoqualmie has the legal responsibility to repair and maintain the public roads and traffic devices within its service area.
2.  The city of Snoqualmie requests that the King County road services division provide road-related services on an as-requested basis.
3.  King County road services division is willing and able to perform such services for the city of Snoqualmie.
4.  The parties can achieve cost savings and benefits that are in the public's interest by having King County road services division provide such services that the city of Snoqualmie requests, at the city of Snoqualmie's expense.
5.  RCW 39.34 authorizes the counties to enter into an interlocal cooperation agreement such as Attachment A to this ordinance.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to execute an interlocal agreement with the city of Snoqualmie, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, allowing the road services division to provide road related services on an "as-requested" basis.
