Title
A RESOLUTION authorizing the chair of the King County transportation district to enter into an agreement for legal and administrative services.
Body
WHEREAS, the King County transportation district ("the district") has imposed a revenue source through Resolution TD2026-01 that will provide funding over a ten-year period for certain transportation improvements, with revenues coming in 2027, and
WHEREAS, the district must secure staffing support to assist it in undertaking the necessary administrative and oversight tasks to ensure that it is prepared to efficiently administer the revenues and programs to be administered by the district, and
WHEREAS, through Resolution TD2026-03, the district's executive committee was requested to begin the process of seeking contracted staffing support for consideration and final approval by the board of supervisors, and
WHEREAS, through Motion TDECM2026-01, the chair was authorized to initiate a process to select a law firm to implement a startup support plan for the district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY TRANSPORATION DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. The chair of the King County transportation district is authorized to enter into an agreement with Inslee Best Doezie & Ryder P.S. for legal and initial
administrative services to the district that are substantially as set out in Attachment A to Motion TDECM2026-01.
