      WHEREAS, King County executive Ron Sims has appointed the Honorable Fred Butler, city of Issaquah councilmember, to the Sound Transit board to serve the remainder of an unexpired term;

      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

      The King County executive's appointment of the Honorable Fred Butler, city of Issaquah councilmember, to the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority, for the remainder of a four-year term to expire in December 2005, in accordance with chapter

81.112 RCW, is hereby confirmed.
