AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the city of Renton for the King County road services division to provide road-related services on an "as requested" basis.

STATEMENT OF FACTS
1.  The city of Renton has the legal responsibility to repair and maintain the public roads and traffic devices within its service area.
2.  The city of Renton requests that the King County road services division provide road-related services on an as requested basis.
3.  King County road services division is willing and able to perform such services for the city of Renton.
4.  The parties can achieve cost savings and benefits that are in the public's interest by having the King County road services division provide such services that the city of Renton requests, at the city of Renton's expense.
5.  Chapter 39.34 RCW authorizes the counties to enter into an interlocal cooperation agreement such as Attachment A to this ordinace.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is hereby authorized to execute an interlocal agreement with the city of Renton, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, to provide road-related services on an "as requested" basis.
