BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Findings:
A. Battery energy storage systems play a crucial role in modern energy supply by providing efficient and flexible storage for electricity generated from renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. They help address the intermittent nature of these sources by storing excess electricity during times of low demand and releasing it when demand is high. That enhances grid stability and reliability when implemented on a region-wide scale, and increases the reliability of electricity supply for individual uses when installed to back up consumer-scale renewable energy generation systems.
