AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to enter into a lease for 1738 square feet of dental clinic space located at 10700 Southeast 174th Street in Renton to house the dental program of the Seattle-King County department of public health.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Findings:
A. The King County dental program is a part of the Seattle-King County department of public health.
B. The dental program has been located at 10700 Southeast 174th Street in Renton for the past ten years.
C. The rental rate will be three thousand two hundred seventy dollars and thirty four cents per month for year one. There will be a five percent per year increase in each of the following four years. In addition, the county is responsible for 15.45 percent of the electric, water, sewer and garbage costs for the building which represents county's portion of the building square footage. The lease commences on January 1, 2007, and concludes on December 31, 2011.
D. This lease agreement represents no change in the approved staffing, work program, budget or physical location.
E. In accordance with K.C.C. 4.04.040, the King County council may adopt an ordinance permitting the county to enter into contracts requiring the payment of funds from the appropriation of subsequent fiscal years.
SECTION 2. The King County executive is hereby authorized to execute a five year lease, in substantially the form attached to this ordinance, at the following location: one thousand seven hundred and thirty-eight square feet located at 10700 Southeast 174th
Street in Renton. The effective date of this lease is January 1, 2007. The space will be used by the dental program in the Seattle-King County department of public health.
