AN ORDINANCE authorizing the condemnation of certain property for the replacement of Mount Si bridge #2550A.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. The King County council, on November 23, 1998, by Ordinance 13340, did adopt the annual budget and program, and did provide therein for a transportation program that included the replacement of Mount Si bridge #2550A.
2. The King County council on November 19, 2001, by Ordinance 14265, did adopt the 2002 budget and program and did provide therein for a transportation program.
3. The capital budget and program provides for the acquisition of land necessary for the replacement of the Mount Si bridge #2550A, right-of-way #9-1998-018.
4. In order to acquire the property and property rights required to facilitate construction f a new bridge, two eleven-foot travel lanes, six-foot shoulders and a six-foot sidewalk along Mount Si bridge, right-of-way #9-1998-018, as provided in this ordinance, it is necessary for King County to condemn certain lands and property rights, and rights in property for road purposes as hereinafter more particularly set forth.
5. The King County council finds that public health, safety, necessity and convenience demand that Mount Si bridge #2550A, right-of-way #9-1998-018, be improved within King County in accordance with the capital budget and program, and that certain properties, property rights, and rights in property be condemned, appropriated, taken, and damaged for purpose of construction of Mount Si bridge #2550A, right-of-way #9-1998-018, as provided in this ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The King County council has deemed it necessary and in the best interest of the citizens of King County that the lands described in Attachment B to this ordinance and other property rights and/or rights in property be condemned, appropriated, taken, and damaged, for the purpose of a new bridge, two eleven-foot travel lanes...
