A MOTION acknowledging receipt of a report identifying which website language translation can be developed and implemented based upon county needs incompliance with the 2013 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 17476, Section 120, Proviso P3.
Body
WHEREAS, the 2013 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 17476, Section 120, Proviso P3, requires the executive to transmit a motion and report by July 1, 2013, and
WHEREAS, the report identifies translation technologies currently available which can provide direct language translation for documents and web pages on the King County website, kingcounty.gov, and
WHEREAS, the report includes details of both human and technological programming to ensure management of translation and project scope for implementation of a language portal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The report identifying which website language translation can be developed and implemented based upon county needs in compliance with the 2013 Budget Ordinance,
Ordinance 17476, Section 120, Proviso P3, which is Attachment A to this motion, is hereby acknowledged.
