A RESOLUTION amending an interlocal agreement with the city of Bellevue regarding the Factoria Boulevard Storm Conveyance Improvements Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the King County Flood Control District ("District") and City of Bellevue ("City") entered into an interlocal agreement ("Agreement") to govern all aspects of the Factoria Boulevard Storm Conveyance Improvements Project, to replace a segment of the existing storm pipe with a larger capacity conveyance system along the north bound lanes of Factoria Boulevard SE that will outfall into the Richards Creek Inlet channel adjacent to the Factoria Village commercial area design to protect affected regional traffic and commercial properties ("the Project"), and
WHEREAS, the Project is included in the District's 2024 annual budget, in a total amount of $6,814,000 to construct the Project, and
WHEREAS, the District increased the budget amount for the Project by $3,100,000 in its 2025 Budget, for a new total Project budget of $9,914,000, and
WHEREAS, Bellevue has agreed to serve as the District's service provider for the Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. The board of supervisors approves "First Amendment to Agreement for Factoria Boulevard Storm Conveyance Improvements Project," Attachment A to this resolution, between the King County Flood Control Zone District and the City of Bellevue and authorizes the chair to sign the agreement.
