Title
A MOTION appointing Kymber Waltmunson to serve as the interim ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor.
Body
WHEREAS, Amy Calderwood has served as the ombuds director of King County office of public complaints/tax advisor since 2003, and
WHEREAS, Amy Calderwood intends to retire from service to King County creating a vacancy effective February 13, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the King County council is conducting a nationwide search to select a candidate to serve as the next ombuds director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with K.C.C. 2.52.050 the King County council may appoint an interim ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor when the position becomes vacant, and
WHEREAS, the King County council wishes to appoint Kymber Waltmunson as the interim ombuds director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor until a new director is appointed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
Kymber Waltmunson is hereby appointed to serve as the interim ombuds director
of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor until the council adopts a future motion appointing a director to fill the vacancy permanently.
