Title

A MOTION confirming the appointment of Kristina Swanson to the citizens' elections oversight committee as an ex officio, nonvoting member representing the Washington State Association of County Auditors.

Body

                     WHEREAS, the Washington Association of County Auditors has identified Ms. Swanson to represent the organization on the citizens' election oversight committee as an ex officio, nonvoting member, and

                     WHEREAS, Ms. Swanson has extensive knowledge and experience in elections in her current role as the Cowlitz county auditor, and in former roles, and

                     WHEREAS, King County is committed to conducting open, accurate and fair elections, and

                     WHEREAS, in accordance with K.C.C. 2.53.021, the employment and administration committee of the King County council appointed Ms. Swanson on November 2, 2015;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The appointment of Kristina Swanson to serve on the citizens' elections oversight

committee as an ex officio, nonvoting member representing the Washington State Association of County Auditors, is hereby confirmed.
