A MOTION authorizing the metropolitan King County council to accept the donation by the Experience Music Project of meeting space and associated costs for a Town Hall Meeting on December 6, 2004.
Body
WHEREAS, the Experience Music Project ("EMP") is an interactive music museum that promotes the arts through its mission of providing education, exhibits and experiences of American popular music, and
WHEREAS, the metropolitan King County council will be holding a Town Hall Meeting on December 6, 2004, an open public meeting, which will focus on arts and cultural programs and venues in Seattle and King County, and
WHEREAS, the generous donation by EMP to King County of meeting space and associated costs for the Town Hall Meeting enhances the county's ability to communicate with the public on important arts and cultural issues, and
WHEREAS, this donation by EMP to King County furthers the mission of EMP to promote the public's recognition and enjoyment of musical arts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
King County hereby accepts the donation by the Experience Music Project of meeting space and associated costs for a Town Hall Meeting on December 6, 2004. The estimated value of this donation is approximately two thousand one hundred dollars.
