Title
A RESOLUTION of the Board of Supervisors of the King County Flood Control Zone District repealing and replacing Resolution FCD2023-05, approving a template for grant agreements related to the administration of the King County Flood Control Zone District's grant programs.
Body
WHEREAS, the King County Flood Control Zone District provides grant funding for projects with flood reduction benefits, and watershed restoration and protection, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Interlocal Agreement between the District and King County, King County oversees the District's grant programs including the solicitation of applicants and the execution of an agreement governing the terms and conditions by grant recipients, and
WHEREAS, to ensure uniformity in the administration of the District's grant programs, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution FCD2023-05, approving template grant contracts for the District's grant programs, and
WHEREAS, since adoption of Resolution FCD2023-05, a local jurisdiction requested a change to the templates, but Resolution FCD2023-05 does not authorize King County to make changes to the template for local jurisdictions, and
WHEREAS, the District agrees to allow additional flexibility to allow King County to change the template for local jurisdictions, subject to review and approval by the King County Prosecuting Attorney and the District's legal counsel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of the King County Flood Control Zone District adopts the template grant agreements attached hereto as Attachment A to this resolution, Cooperative Watershed Management Grant Funds, for use by King County for the grant programs funded by the District and administrated by King County.
