AN ORDINANCE approving an interlocal agreement with the city of Bellevue revising the corporate boundary of the city of Bellevue to include a segment of NE Bellevue-Redmond Road that is in unincorporated King County, as provided for in RCW 35A.21.210.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. The city of Bellevue's Ordinance Number 5607 and related interlocal agreement were received by King County on July 12, 2005.
2. The city of Bellevue's Ordinance Number 5607 authorizes the city manager to execute the interlocal agreement between the city of Bellevue and King County to revise the city's corporate boundary to include a segment of NE Bellevue-Redmond road right-of-way located in unincorporated King County.
3. RCW 35A.21.210 authorizes the governing bodies of a county and any code city located therein by agreement to revise any part of the corporate boundary of the city that coincides with the centerline, edge, or any portion of a public street, road or highway right-of-way by substituting therefore a right-of-way line of the same public street, road or highway so as fully to include or fully to exclude that segment of the public street, road or highway from the corporate limits of the city.
4. Revision of the corporate boundary of a city is effective upon approval by the city council and the county legislative authority as provided for in RCW 35A.21.210.
5. The attached interlocal agreement revises the corporate boundary of the city to include fully within the city of Bellevue an island of unincorporated King County existing within the right of way of NE Bellevue-Redmond road that lies west of the centerline of the road and east of the Redmond city limits.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The revision of the corporate boundary of the city of Bellevue to include the segment of NE Bellevue-Redmond road, legally described as set forth in Attachment A to this ordinance, is hereby approved. The county ...
