Title
A RESOLUTION authorizing the chair of the King County transportation district to apply to the King County executive finance committee for an interfund loan.
Body
WHEREAS, under Ordinance 17746, the King County executive services finance director serves as the treasurer for the King County transportation district ("the district"), with the treasury operations section performing the daily treasurer functions for the county and other municipal entities for which King County also provides treasurer services, including the county's investment pool, and
WHEREAS, Motion TDECM2026-02 authorized the chair to enter into a cash management service agreement with King County, setting forth the terms and conditions by which the county will provide cash management services to the district, including authorizing the county to invest the district's idle cash without daily direction from the district, and
WHEREAS, Motion TDECM2026-02 authorized the chair to enter into an investment pool agreement with King County, setting forth the terms and conditions by which the county will provide investment services to the district, and
WHEREAS, if the district seeks a temporary internal cash advance from the King County investment pool to cover expenditures prior to receiving revenues from the transportation funding measure authorized by Resolution TD2026-01, it must apply to the King County executive finance committee for an interfund loan through the procedures authorized by K.C.C. chapter 4.24;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY TRANSPORATION DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. The chair of the King County transportation district is authorized to complete and submit the District Application for Interfund Loan, Attachment A to this
resolution, to the King County executive finance committee on behalf of the King County transportation district.
