BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Ordinance 473, Section 2, as amended, and K.C.C. 2.52.020 are hereby amended to read as follows:
((The King County)) In accordance with Section 260 of the King County Charter, the office of ((citizen)) public complaints/tax advisor is established and may also be referred to as the ombuds office.
SECTION 2. Ordinance 5869, Section 4, as amended, and K.C.C. 2.52.030 are hereby amended to read as follows:
The director of the ombuds office ((of citizen complaints/tax advisor)) shall be appointed by a majority of the members of the county council.
SECTION 3. Ordinance 473, Section 4, as amended, and K.C.C. 2.52.040 are hereby amended to read as follows:
The director shall be a registered voter of the United States, shall hold a degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in service to government, shall have a working knowledge of legal and administrative procedures, and shall have either experience((, and/)) or knowledge, or both, in local government com...
