      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  A.  Section 2 of this ordinance proposes changes to the fees for roads maintenance utility inspection fees for right-of-way construction permits charged by the department of transportation, road services division.
      B.  These fees are assessed under K.C.C. 2.99.030.
      SECTION 2.  Ordinance 7025, Section 3, as amended, and K.C.C. 14.44.045 are each hereby amended to read as follows:
      Inspection fee.
      A.  ((Effective January 1, 1999, t))The permittee ((is required to)) shall pay an inspection fee at the rate of one hundred ((two)) sixteen dollars per hour of utility inspection to the department of transportation, road services division.  The fees are in addition to any other county fees and are nonrefundable.
      B.  The fees shall be collected in accordance with administrative procedures developed by the department of transportation, road services division.
      SECTION 3.  This ordinance takes effect January 1, 2003.
