A MOTION authorizing the King County department of community and human services to accept, on behalf of the Committee to End Homelessness in King County, a donation of twenty-six thousand three hundred thirty-six dollars from Green River Homes, LLC, for the purpose of funding the work of the Committee to End Homelessness in King County to create programs that provide housing and housing-related services for homeless persons.

WHEREAS, a significant number of persons are homeless in King County on any night, and
WHEREAS, the King County council has adopted the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness, the participants therein, including King County, have established the Committee to End Homelessness in King County and its governing bodies, and
WHEREAS, the King County council has designated the Committee to End Homelessness in King County as its Local Homelessness Task Force under Chapter 484 Laws of Washington 2006 (Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill 2163) and is hosting the Committee to End Homelessness in King County under the auspices of the King County department of community and human services, and
WHEREAS, Green River Homes, LLC, an entity created and managed by the King County Housing Authority to renovate the Green River Homes, has obtained financing from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, and
WHEREAS, Green River Homes, LLC, has elected to satisfy its "Placed in Service" requirement under the Washington State Housing Finance Commission financing by making a donation to support local housing, and
WHEREAS, Green River Homes has elected to make its donation to the Committee to End Homelessness in King County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The King County council hereby authorizes the department of community and human services, on behalf of the Committee to End Homelessness in King County, to accept a donation in the amount of twenty-Six thousand three hundred thirty-six dollars to be used by the Committee to End Homelessness in King County to further its work in
creating programs that provide housing and housing-related services for homeless persons.
