Good morning Kendall,

Please see the email below.  I do not have Jim’s email address, so, could you please forward this to Jim if you believe he would want to see it?  Let me know if this is sufficient or if you need anything more.

Thanks.

Bill

Subject: Annexation

To whom it may concern:

I am the President of the Wild Glen Condominium Association, representing a residential condominium development of 72 units. This development should have been included in the annexation area for the City of Kirkland and were it not for an administrative error, our development would become part of the City of Kirkland when it annexes the Juanita, Finn Hill and Kingsgate areas on June 1, 2011.

Our residents very much want to be annexed to Kirkland on June 1, 2011 as it was intended to be. We want to be annexed for the same reasons that the majority of annexation area citizens voted “yes” in the general election so that we can have City of Kirkland services. Our residents have previously submitted a petition in support of annexation to Kirkland. Our board has discussed it regularly and we remain committed to annexation to Kirkland. At our most recent annual homeowners’ meeting, the agenda included a presentation and update about annexation by Marilynne Beard. At that time, residents had the opportunity to ask questions and many residents spoke in support of annexation and none spoke opposed.

It should also be noted that if we are not annexed to Kirkland as part of this process on June 1, our development will become the last remaining parcel in Fire District 41, which would be a complicated arrangement for all concerned.

We understand that because of how this has occurred and because we are not currently contiguous to the City of Kirkland, that the Interlocal Agreement is the only way for us to become part of the City of Kirkland on June 1, 2011. We respectfully request approval of the Interlocal Agreement.

Thank you for your consideration.
