Follow-up Review on Wastewater Treatment Division Capital Planning Program
Valerie Whitener, Principal Management Auditor, briefed the committee and answered questions
from the members on the Wastewater Treatment Division Capital Planning Program.

Mike Alvine, Council Staff, briefed the committee on Items #3 and #4 together. Debra Bellam,
Labor Negotiator, Labor Relations, Department of Executive Services and Dustin Frederick,
Business, SEIU, Local 519, answered questions from the members.

Proposed Ordinance No. 2004-0536 Ms. Patterson and Mr. Phillips
AN ORDINANCE approving and adopting the collective bargaining agreement and two
memoranda of understanding negotiated by and between King County and Service
Employees International Union, Public Safety Employees, Local 519 (Communications
Specialists) representing employees in the sheriff's office and establishing the effective date
of said agreement.
A motion was made by Ms. Hague, seconded by Ms. Patterson, that this matter be
Recommended Do Pass Consent. The motion carried by the following vote:

memoranda of understanding negotiated by and between King County and Service
Employees International Union, Public Safety Employees, Local 519 (Communications
Specialists) representing employees in the sheriff's office and establishing the effective date
of said agreement.

and sergeants in the sheriff's office; and establishing the effective date of said agreement.

Relations, Department of Executive Services and Steve Eggert, Labor Representative, King County
Police Officer's Guild, answered questions from the members.

(Administrative Support Employees) representing employees in the departments of
executive services, natural resources and parks, community and human services, public
health, and transportation; and establishing the effective date of said agreement.

Relations, Department of Executive Services; Betty Sorbo, Union Representative, International
Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 117; Mike Alvine, Council Staff; Arthur Thornbury, Council Staff;
and Nancy Buonanno Grennan, Labor Relations Manager, Department of Executive Services,
answered questions from the members.
